Catholic Extension Society is offering a limited number of scholarships for parish leaders to attend the International Catholic Stewardship Council (ICSC) 59th Annual Conference, on September 12-15 in Orlando, FL. Applicants must come from parishes who:
- Have been hit hard economically during the past year, or
- Serve a racial/ethnic minority community, or
- Had a pre-pandemic weekly collection of under $1,000
Scholarships will cover attendee’s airfare, hotel, conference registration, and a flat stipend for meals and ground transportation. Any other costs associated with attending this event are the responsibility of the attendee and not covered by Catholic Extension Society. There is a limit of one scholarship recipient per parish, but multiple parishes within a diocese may each separately apply for scholarships (each must submit a separate application form).
Catholic Extension Society will also once again be hosting a special reception for Extension Diocese attendees at the conference on Monday evening, September 13. RSVP information for the reception will be sent to approved scholarship recipients as the conference approaches. A conference schedule can be found online linked here.
Steps and timelines for the 2021 ICSC Parish Leaders scholarship process:
- Complete the Scholarship Application Form by the deadline of Tuesday, July 13.
- Catholic Extension Society will review applications and provide decisions by Friday, July 16.
- Once approved, scholarship recipients must book their travel and hotel reservations, and register for the conference, by Tuesday, July 27.
- Scholarship recipients will then send their flight receipt and a completed scholarship calculation form to Catholic Extension Society for reimbursement.
