Dear Catholic Extension,
I WOULD LIKE TO
take the opportu- nity to express my heartfelt thanks for all you do
for our diacon- ate programs in the Diocese of Lub-
bock. It has truly allowed us to provide good resources for continuing edu- cation and to begin a new formation program. This program, which is in its aspirancy year, has 35 men and their wives meeting once a month to dis- cern their vocation to the diaconate. Without your assistance we wouldn’t be able to form men and women to minister in jails, hospitals and nurs- ing homes in our diocese. We really appreciate all you do for us.

Dear Catholic Extension,
THANK YOU FOR helping us to deep- en our spiritual lives and to become dedicated servants in building up God’s kingdom. Because of your nan- cial assistance to the Diocese of Lub- bock, my husband completed deacon formation and was ordained in 2012. He was assigned to San Ramón Cath- olic Church, a small parish outside of Lubbock, as the only deacon.
Among his ministries, he has start- ed a local chapter of the Knights of Columbus as well as a men’s spiritual- ity program. He conducts a bi-weekly communion service for inmates in the local county jail and serves on the par- ish council and nance commi ee.
I also participated in the deacon

formation and earned the certi cate
of pastoral studies from the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio. This inspired me to pursue a master’s in pastoral studies through Loyola Uni- versity’s extension program, made possible by nancial assistance from Catholic Extension. I am also in active ministry at San Ramón, serving as its director of RCIA and on the parish council.
Your help has prepared us both to be strong and dedicated disciples in service to God through the Catholic Church.
Sincerely in Christ,
