Pray for the Children

Thank you for joining us for the Children Seeking Asylum March.

Catholic Extension Society is proud to partner with the Kino Border Initiative, a ministry funded by our donors, to host and livestream this important event.

Kino Border Initiative accompanies migrants monthly to the U.S.-Mexico border gate to request asylum in front of an immigration officer. Once there, they livestream each migrant’s story to raise awareness for unjust asylum policies.

Our chancellor Cardinal Blase Cupich along with Sister Norma Pimentel and several other members of Extension-supported parishes will virtually join hands along the 2,000-mile border wall as this happens. Together we will pray for all asylum seekers and their continued and hopeful journey to the United States.

Please share this post to invite your friends to join us in praying for asylum seekers.

Migrants and refugees are not pawns on the chessboard of humanity. They are children, women, and men who leave or are forced to leave their homes for various reasons, who share a legitimate desire for knowing and having, but over all for being more.”
